Works with associates and vendors to resolve problems with purchased goods and services.
Visits vendor facilities.
Prepares purchasing reports for management.
Attends vendor and industrial trade shows.
Evaluates purchasing performance to improve departmental procedures.
Provide guidance to Purchasing Department associates to help them in performance of their job responsibilities.
Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing and e-mail.
Understands RES’ ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and assists with executing its objectives.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and five or more years’ experience in purchasing.
CPM certification desired.
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Must have experience in negotiating and qualifying contractors and vendors and in securing confidentiality and/or trade secret agreements.
Must have the ability to research and analyze various types of information.
Must possess a strong work ethic and commitment to quality. Must have extremely high standards of personal and team performance, and must be willing to devote and demand the hours and effort required to meet or exceed those standards.
Must possess excellent communication, organization, interpersonal and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from associates, customers, suppliers or lenders.
