Salary range: $65-$85K

 

The Project Manager, PMO is responsible for the overall business management of cross-functional projects.  Has experience across all elements of marketing and can take leadership on project managements, strategic planning, creative thinking, and the developing of materials. The Marketing Project Manager will be dedicated to get the marketing projects done. This role has overall accountability for project timeline completion. Identifies interdependencies and ensures the project team balances and understands the impact of cross-functional decisions. Ensures that all key milestones are met and that potential issues are elevated to the appropriate levels and stakeholders for resolution.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assessing incoming project requests, in terms of priorities, capacity and timing.
  • Works with team members to assure team assignments align with priorities department.
  • Raises concern when conflicting priorities are impacting success.
  • Defines the list of dependent projects, processes, and decisions that need to be completed to reach the overall project goals. Resolves and balances conflicting priorities and timelines. Maintains cross-functional view and influences across multiple functional areas, including Regulatory, Quality, Procurement, Planning, Marketing, Sales, Packaging Development, Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing and Distribution.
  • Manages project deliverables through effective constructions of timelines, schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder management.
  • Communicates project status to all levels of the organization as required along with any changes to original scope and/or commitments.
  • Develops, directs execution of and training plans for project management tools and change management processes.
  • Prioritizes the identification, escalation, and resolution of project risks and issues.
  • Effectively utilizes team members to drive continuous improvement and facilitate resolution.
  • Acts as liaison with vendors as needed, supervising production, work quality, timelines, budgets, and billing.
  • Track critical dates, manage task/project dependencies, and proactively communicate issues.
  • Responsible for all activities from inception to launch, meeting budget requirements and launch deadlines.
  • Responsible for identifying and tracking the comprehensive requirements & stakeholders for any given project and managing their timelines for on-time completion.
  • Develops strong relationships at all levels of the organization and cross-functionally within the team.
  • Establishes and maintains best practices for the Project Management processes.
  • Implement and/or build on current workstreams and processes to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Organize, facilitate, and drive status meetings. Develop meeting agendas, highlight key project dates, drive issue resolution, and keep track of follow-up items.
  • Summarize and communicate meeting outcomes and actions to all internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the team’s point of contact and maintain communication with all project stakeholders to ensure inter-departmental alignment, optimization of resources, smooth handoffs, and project consistency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or equivalent related field.
  • 5 years plus of business, marketing project management or project coordination experience. across multiple disciplines and large project management.
  • PMP Certification and/or Licenses a plus.
  • Experienced in Project Management in manufacturing setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working directly with the marketing director and product development manager, to build strategic marketing plans and leading brainstorming sessions with the teams.
  • Previous experience setting up detailed project plans including tasks, due dates, dependencies, and achievements in a project management system.
  • Ability to travel and work across multiple disciplines with competing priorities.
  • Sets direction for others to work toward goals and completion of objectives.
  • Experience with and/or installing some type of Project Portfolio Management Tool (PPM).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment to solve problems; inspires loyalty and trust; handles oneself ethically, ability to motivate, ability to lead without formal authority; ability to influence outcomes; ability to get things done through others.
  • Demonstrated managerial skills, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment under pressure and in sensitive situations.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, experience in project management software.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, time management, organizational skills, and execute work while handling multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Decisive and big-picture thinker.
  • Ability to understand technical data.
  • Must have excellent multitasking ability as be able to manage concurrent projects.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
