Our client, located in Hudson, Ohio is looking for an experienced Video Editor/Producer who is a team player, organized and adaptable. Someone who is constantly trying to improve their skillset by working on different projects while learning from and teaching those around them. This person will be responsible for editing videos that support our internal brands and our external partnerships.
The Video Editor will report to our Production Manager daily to work on assigned projects and give updates on upcoming projects. The Video Editor will also work with our Creative Director to ensure the level of quality is always to our internal standards and we are meeting the needs of the end user. The Video Editor will also work with a team of Producers and Editors to collaborate on creative assignments including concepting, pre-production meetings, project handoffs, and project reviews.
Edit projects as assigned.
Keep the Production Manager and Project Coordinator up to date on the progress of projects.
Keep on trend with new editing techniques and fresh concepts that can enhance your work and the Production Department’s end products.
Contribute ideas and creatively build those ideas from beginning concept to a finished product.
Learn the Production Department’s file structure and project organization and implement them in all projects.
3-5 years of professional post-production experience.
A portfolio/demo reel of work, demonstrating editing skills.
Strong storytelling skills.
Ability to find and edit music and sounds that fit the creative direction of a piece.
Ability to create animated intro’s, outro’s, and lower thirds.
Experience working with RAW and log files.
Ability to color correct and color grade footage to match the overall creative look.
Ability to correctly mix audio.
Experience editing projects with clear direction and storyboards as well as editing more organic pieces that come together in the edit.
Must be open to critiques and feedback from department heads and clients.
Learning new software and techniques that will offer new and better experiences to clients.
Being adaptable to changing schedules and last-minute project requests from clients.
Never missing a deadline.
Ability to accurately forecast editing time to quote future projects.
